The 3rd US–Canada Chinatown Solidarity Summit convenes 60 Chinatown leaders from across the United States and Canada for a focused, solution-driven exchange. Returning to Vancouver from April 6–8, 2026, after previous Summits in Vancouver (2023, hosted by Vancouver Chinatown Foundation) and New York City (2024, hosted by Welcome to Chinatown) , the Summit is hosted by the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver. The convening recognizes the historic and cultural significance of Chinatowns and the urgent, shared challenges shaping their future across cities and national borders.
The Summit features panel discussions, breakout sessions, and facilitated group dialogues designed to encourage candid peer exchange and practical learning. Through curated networking opportunities, case studies, and collaborative discussions, participants will explore actionable strategies related to small business growth, targeted investment, commercial innovation, and public–private partnerships that support the long-term vitality of historic districts.

The Vancouver Chinatown Foundation is excited to host the 3rd Annual Chinatown Solidarity Conference at the Chinatown Storytelling Centre, located at 168 E Pender St, Vancouver.
The Centre documents and shares the cultural stories of Chinese Canadians through the lens of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown—celebrating its contributions to the city and the nation. By reflecting on stories of adversity, resilience, and triumph, we uncover our shared history and the common ground needed to build a more sustainable future.

If you are flying, we recommend
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) offers convenient and efficient access to downtown Vancouver and the Georgian Court Hotel. Travellers can take the light rail public transit called the Canada Line SkyTrain directly from the airport, with trains departing every few minutes which takes approximately a 25-minute ride to downtown. Exit at the Yaletown–Roundhouse station and walk 900 metres to the Georgian Court Hotel. Taxis and rideshare services are also readily available outside the airport arrivals area, offering a direct trip to the Georgian Court Hotel in about 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic at a set amount of $45CAD. Both options provide reliable, straightforward transportation, making travel from the airport to the city centre seamless for Summit attendees.
Please note that if you do not attend the summit or cancel your participation, reimbursement will not be issued, as reimbursements are only provided to attendees who participate in the event and submit eligible air ticket receipts (the official documentation provided by an airline or travel agency after a flight has been purchased and confirmed) after the summit. Attendees will be reimbursed up to the allocated budget based on their departure location via electronic payment. Attendees are required to complete a form with electronic payment information and upload their receipts. If this reimbursement timeline presents a challenge, please contact the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation in advance to discuss alternate arrangements.
